Wherever possible, I try to use recycled metal in my work. I bought some pretty brass plates from Oxfam which were almost too beautiful to cut up, but lets face it, nobody puts brass plates on their walls these days unless you're a pub of course. Anyway, I would normally grind out any pattern from the metal to create my textured heart pieces but I was quite taken with the design on these. I've produced 5 large hearts pendants and added a large glass bead to add weight to the piece which is on a long leather thong. I've also made some earrings to match. I hope you like them, I do.
